Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will serve as the organization’s financial leader, responsible for evaluating existing accounting systems, workflows, and controls, identifying gaps or risks, and implementing enhanced processes across the business. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise, hands-on operational capability, and the ability to design and enforce strong financial governance in a fiduciary environment.
This role is also responsible for managing the personal finances for conservator and representative payee clients (currently 26 conservator, 61 representative payee). This role involves maintaining a sufficient balance in client accounts to allow for client bill paying and discretionary spending, while staying within limits of applicable benefits programs. Medical insurance determination will be required for the clients whose needs are funded by no-fault insurance to ensure the correct payor is billed for medical treatment.
Annually, the role will include court and representative payee required reporting and other related financial tasks.
The Accounting Manager will supervise a company financial analyst and report to the COO.
Primary Job Duties

- Maintain register
- Classify and pay client medical bills
- Pay client non-medical bills
- Gather tax materials
- Support court conservator reporting
- Manage Representative Payee reporting
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- High integrity and commitment to ethical financial stewardship
- Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliation practices, and financial reporting
- Experience in fiduciary services, legal practices, or regulated environments strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in internal controls, workflow design, and financial process improvement.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lead change, train staff, and enforce consistent financial standards
Pay Rate or Range
$55,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience

Position Summary
The Social Worker/Guardian Representative will work within an attorney's office specializing in guardianships and conservatorships. This role involves supporting clients in navigating legal processes related to guardianship and conservatorship, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and providing guidance and advocacy for clients' best interests.
Daily duties consist of assisting the Guardian with making arrangements for the care and custody of the client (an impaired adult with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or dementia) by making sure their daily needs are met and they are getting the care they need.
Ensure compliance with state regulations and legal requirements.
Provide guidance and support to clients and their families
Make decisions using best judgment in key areas of client’s life, and follow through on decisions made for wards such as living arrangements, medical decisions, quality of life improvements, etc.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records
Manage and maintain a case load of client and complete all required documentation under the supervision of the Director of Guardianship Services
Make visits to clients within and outside their home setting (i.e. nursing home, group home, independent living, assisted living, apartment, house, public environments, etc).
Coordinate and/or attend inter-disciplinary care conferences
Attend medical appointments
Provide oversight of clients plan of care
Participate and attend required company meetings
Manage multiple and conflicting schedules to ensure meetings are scheduled with required participants, locations, technology etc.
Ensure requests for responses and other feedback are met, proactively check deadlines on incoming requests and use best judgment in making decisions.
Maintain confidentiality
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Experience in legal or social services preferred
Strong understanding of guardianship and conservatorship laws in Michigan and national guardianship standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience working with traumatically brain-injured or developmentally disabled individuals
Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Annual certification is required
Able to work in challenging situations. The job includes driving to appointments and taking clients to appointments. Driver’s license and insurance required.
Able to navigate stairs
This is an in-person role

$25-$35/hour

Document and Data Management Coordinator

Position Summary
Excellent documentation management is critical to our ability to serve our clients. For most of our clients, we receive mail from health care providers, government agencies, financial institutions, and others. It is imperative that we handle the mail with speed, diligence, consistency and a focus on HIPAA and privacy requirements.
In some cases, the employee will be required to retrieve and/or deliver items, with daily roundtrip distances of up to 100 miles. A company vehicle is available for these tasks.
Light office coordination work is also included.
Job duties in detail
Document Coordination
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Retrieve and transport incoming mail and packages in compliance with firm procedures and security guidelines
- Scan, upload, and index documents according to the firm’s document management system
- Record incoming mail activity in billing system
- Maintain physical and electronic client files in accordance with firm protocols, including off-site storage
- Ensure proper document naming, organization, and file integrity
- When needed, submit court documents in person
Office Coordination
- Perform general clerical and administrative support duties
- Manage office coverage and logistics (phone, utilities, supplies, etc)
- Manage/distribute mail
- Manage equipment (vehicles, furniture, other equipment)
- Maintain team contact info
- Maintain employee benefit and other reference information
- Able to complete local errands of up to 100 miles round trip
Minimum Requirements
